Low Carb Over Fried Pickles Can Strengthen Your Gut and Immune System

Attention Pickle Lover, these Gluten Free, Low Carb Fried Pickles are for you!!!!  They are loaded with nutrients making them a perfect keto snack. They are easy to make and require only a few ingredients.

And most of all, pickles are good for you! Fermented foods contain healthy bacteria, knows as probiotics, that help to strengthen our gut and immune system, maintain balance in the gastrointestinal system so our body can digest food properly and absorb the nutrients we need.

Low Carb Oven Fried Pickles

Ingredients 

4 Large Dill Pickles

1 organic Egg

1/2 Cup Pork Rinds (Crushed) (find it here)

3 Tbsp Coconut Flour (find it here)

3 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese

3 Tbsp organic Butter

Directions 

1. Preheat oven to 400 F.

2. Slice the pickles in half, lengthwise, then slice the halves in half as well. In a small bowl, beat the eggs. In a separate bowl add coconut flour. and the parmesan cheese.

3. Grease a baking pan with 1/2 tbsp of butter. Cover pickles in flour, dredge in egg, then into pork rinds. Place the breaded pickles onto the pan. Sprinkle the remaining melted butter over them.  Bake for 10 minutes. Turn your oven to broil and cook for another 7 – 10 minutes.
