Did you know that sinus infections affect over 37 million Americans every year? This happens when a common cold or allergies lead to inflammation of the sinuses. Common symptoms of acute sinusitis include facial pain/pressure, tooth pain, ear pain, nasal congestion, post-nasal drip, cough or discolored mucus.
Conventional treatment includes antibiotics, antihistamines, nasal saline washes, nasal decongestant sprays etc.
Fortunately, you don’t have to over-medicate yourself with conventional drugs, there are many natural and effective remedies for a sinus infection including this 20 second trick.
How to Clear Your Sinuses in 20 Seconds
1. Push your tongue towards the roof of your mouth.
When you push your tongue against the roof of your mouth, don’t aim for a particular spot but simply push it flat against the top.
2. Place a finger between your eyebrows and apply pressure.
Hold it for about 20 seconds.
Your sinuses should have drained out by now. Sometimes you can feel the mucus sliding down your throat.
Additionally, you can use apple cider vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar possesses strong antibacterial and antifungal properties that fight the infection. ACV helps to balance the pH and clears out the excess mucus that has built up in the cavities. It is very powerful when it comes to dealing with sinusitis as it is rich in calcium, magnesium and vitamins like A, E, B1 and B2.
Mix two teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar (this is what I use) in a glass of water (you can add raw honey for the taste). Drink it up to 3 times a day.
